What Should You Do if Your Calling or Registration Information Changes?

To ensure continued assistance as Consultants or Priesthood Leaders, you need to inform the Family History Department in Salt Lake City if your E-Mail address, phone number or calling is changed.

At the present time, there is no way to actually edit or update your personal registration information. So, for now, all you can do is reregister, which superimposes the new information over the incorrect data.

The good news is that reregistering will only take a couple of minutes.

Please note that before you can reregister, you will need to obtain the unit # for your ward.
You can obtain this number from any of your ward clerks.

NOTE: It is also important to maintain your proper E-Mail address in New Family Search.

One of the most important features of the New Family Search system is the ability it provides to collaborate with others who are interested in common ancestors. But for that to happen, you must maintain a correct personal profile, including your current E-Mail address.

This would also be essential for receiving answers when you make E-Mail inquires to the department’s support personnel at: support@familysearch.org

Doing this is easy!
